沒有走的路

雖然如此,這兩條路同樣都已經是過客無數, 只不過,那天早晨,兩條路都覆滿了枯葉, 留下被踏過的足跡,一步也無。 唉,另一條路留給下一次再補! 但是,明知現在選擇的這條路將不斷分叉出其他種種的路, 我深深懷疑是否還能夠再回到目前原處。 或許,多年之後,在某個不知名之處, 我會這麼輕輕的嘆息說: 很久以前,黃樹林裡分開了兩條路,而我---- 而我選擇了人跡較少的那一條之後, 這個抉擇使得我生命中一切的一切 都已經截然不同,都已經永無退路。 *這是普民精舍見達法師所翻譯的版本。 The Road Not Taken by ROBERT FROST Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
